• For horizontal and vertical applications in interior and exterior areas,
• For installing small and medium-sized tiles such as granite ceramics and porcelain on even or uneven concrete surfaces,
• For use on balconies, terraces, and wet areas.
• Easy to prepare and apply.
• Faster application, as there is no need to apply adhesive mortar on the back of the tiles.
• Flowable consistency allows easy and quick application with a notched trowel.
• Processing time is long.
• High bonding strength.
• Resistant to freeze–thaw cycles.
a) Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level. All residues that may reduce adhesion, such as oil, grease, rust, and paraffin, must be thoroughly removed, and no loose particles should remain on the surface. Defective areas with depths of 5–20 mm should be repaired with Repair Mortars at least two days prior to application. If the substrate temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be moistened.
b) Product Preparation:
The required amount of clean water is measured and poured into a mixing container. 123 Granitte Max is slowly added while mixing with a low-speed mixer (400–600 rpm) for 3–5 minutes until a uniform, lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for approximately 3–5 minutes, the mixture is remixed for 30 seconds and is then ready for use.
c) Application Method:
Apply a 1 mm thick layer of 123 Granitte Max onto the substrate using the smooth side of the trowel. Within the open time of 20 minutes, spread 123 Granitte Max with the notched side of the trowel in a single direction to achieve uniform thickness, over an area that can be covered within this period. For fixing tiles or granite of varying thicknesses, or to compensate for uneven substrates, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm layer of adhesive mortar to the back of each tile or granite piece. While placing the tiles or granite, they should be pressed and slid into the adhesive to ensure full contact with 123 Granitte Max. Depending on the size of the tiles or granite, appropriate joint gaps should be left. For filling the joints, Tanchem Joint Fillers should be used. Joint grouting can be started approximately 24 hours after installation.
