a) Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level. All residues that may reduce adhesion, such as oil, grease, rust, and paraffin, must be thoroughly removed, and no loose particles should remain on the surface. Defective areas with depths of 5–20 mm should be repaired with Repair Mortars at least two days prior to application. If the substrate temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be moistened.
b) Product Preparation:
The appropriate amount of clean water is poured into a mixing container using a measuring tool. 103 Supertile Maxx is gradually added while mixing with a 400–600 rpm mixer for 3–5 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for approximately 3–5 minutes, the mixture is remixed for 30 seconds and is then ready for use.
c) Application Method:
A 1 mm thick layer of 103 Supertile Maxx is first applied onto the surface using the flat side of a trowel. Within the open time of 30 minutes, the mortar is combed in a single direction with the notched side of the trowel to achieve uniform thickness over the area that can be tiled. For tiles or ceramics with varying thickness, or to compensate for surface irregularities, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm layer of mortar on the back of each tile or ceramic. While placing the tiles or ceramics, they should be pressed and slid slightly to ensure full contact with the mortar. Application should be completed by leaving appropriate joint gaps according to the tile or ceramic size. Tanchem Grouts should be used to fill these joints. Joint grouting can be carried out approximately 24 hours after application.
