• For interior and exterior applications,
• On horizontal surfaces,
• For the installation of small-sized floor ceramics with a water absorption rate above 3%,
• For bonding small-sized tiles and ceramics onto cement-based substrates
• Suitable for interior applications.
• Easy to prepare and apply.
• The processing time is long.
• Non-sagging.
• Can be safely applied on horizontal surfaces.
• Resistant to water and frost.
a) Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level. All residues that may reduce adhesion, such as oil, grease, rust, and paraffin, must be thoroughly removed, and no loose particles should remain on the surface. Defective areas with depths of 5–20 mm should be repaired with Repair Mortars at least two days prior to application. If the substrate temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be moistened.
b) Product Preparation:
The appropriate amount of clean water is poured into a mixing container using a measuring vessel. 101 Supertile Standard is gradually added while mixing with a low-speed mixer (400–600 rpm) for 3–5 minutes until a uniform, lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for about 3–5 minutes, the mixture is remixed for 30 seconds and is then ready for use.
c) Application Method:
Using the flat side of the trowel, apply a 1 mm thick layer of 101 Supertile Standard onto the substrate. Within the open time of 20 minutes, spread the adhesive onto an area that can be tiled, combing it with the notched side of the trowel in a single direction to achieve uniform thickness. For tiles or ceramics of varying thickness, or to compensate for substrate irregularities, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm layer of adhesive to the back of each tile or ceramic. When positioning, press and slide each tile into the adhesive to ensure full contact. Leave the recommended joint gaps according to the size of the tiles or ceramics. For filling the joints, Tanchem Grouts should be used. Grouting can be started approximately 24 hours after application.
