• For interior and exterior applications, both horizontal and vertical,
• For bonding ceramic, granite, marble, porcelain, natural stone, glass mosaic, and pressed brick to cement-based substrates exposed to temperature variations,
• For bonding ceramic, granite, marble, natural stone, and glass mosaics to primed surfaces such as plasterboard, plaster, and aerated concrete, which are sensitive to temperature changes,
• Suitable for wet areas such as swimming pools, water tanks, bathrooms, underfloor heated floors, heated pools, thermal pools, and swimming pools not drained during winter,
• For wall and floor cladding in cold storage rooms,
• Ideal for exterior façade applications, renovations, repairs, and ceramic-on-ceramic installations, providing excellent results.
• Extended open time.
• Easy to prepare and apply.
• Non-slip on vertical surfaces.
• Resistant to freeze–thaw cycles.
• Resistant to stresses and vibrations caused by temperature variations.
a) Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level. All residues that may reduce adhesion, such as oil, grease, rust, and paraffin, must be thoroughly removed, and no loose particles should remain on the surface. Defective areas with depths of 5–20 mm should be repaired with Repair Mortars at least two days prior to application. If the substrate temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be moistened.
Plaster-Based Surface,
Highly absorbent surfaces such as plasterboard, plaster, aerated concrete, lime plaster, and chipboard should be primed. Adhesive application can begin 5 minutes after priming.
Wood Chip-Based Surfaces (OSB and Chipboards),
Wood chipboards must contain a maximum of 10% moisture. Boards applied on floors (V100) must be at least 25 mm thick, and on walls at least 19 mm. Boards should be screwed to the substrate at 30 cm intervals. Edge joints must be at least 8 mm wide. Grooves should be cut at the joints of the chips and filled with Joint Filler Putty. In dry environments, wood chipboards should be primed.
For boards exposed to moisture (e.g., exterior applications), apply two layers of Fully Flexible Waterproofing Membrane reinforced with mesh.
If the boards are in place that exposed to moisture (exterior), it is applied with Fully Flexible Waterproofing Material in two layers and mesh reinforced.
b) Product Preparation:
Measure the required amount of clean water and pour it into a mixing container. Slowly add 124 Pro Flex S1 while mixing with a low-speed mixer (400–600 rpm) for 3–5 minutes until a uniform, lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for approximately 3–5 minutes, remix for 30 seconds; the material is then ready for use.
c) Application Method:
Apply a 1 mm thick layer of 124 Pro Flex S1 onto the substrate using the smooth side of the trowel. Within the open time of 30 minutes, spread 124 Pro Flex S1 with the notched side of the trowel in a single direction to achieve uniform thickness, over an area that can be covered within this period. For tiles or granite of varying thicknesses, or to compensate for uneven substrates, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm layer of adhesive mortar to the back of each tile or granite piece. While placing tiles or granite, they should be pressed and slid into the adhesive to ensure full contact with 124 Pro Flex S1. Leave appropriate joint gaps according to tile or granite size. For filling the joints, Tanchem Joint Fillers should be used. Joint grouting can be started approximately 24 hours after installation.
